Date and time of the webinar: December 20, at 10:30 a.m.

District heating can become one of the tools for communities on the way to energy independence. However, the limited energy resources due to the Russian invasion and inefficient heat supply systems slow down the sustainable development of this area. As a result, people do not receive quality services and switch to individual heating. At the same time, the communities are not moving closer to energy security and are depriving the local budget of the corresponding financial revenues.

Possible directions for the development of district heating include the use of heat pumps and solar heating plants. Renewable energy sources can provide heating for densely populated communities, especially during the most challenging heating season.

What are the technical features of using solar energy for heating (primarily in district heating)? What are the economic aspects and limitations of using solar energy in district heating? We will discuss this and other things at the “Solar Heating. Challenges and opportunities for District Heating” webinar on December 20 at 10:30.

Target audience: Employees of local governments, social activists, and employees of communal institutions.

Venue: Online platform “Zoom”.
