Materials of the online seminar “Promoting energy security and sustainable development of local communities in Dnipropetrovsk region”
On Arpil 1, the Renewable Energy Agency together with UABIO in the framework of the project “Promoting Energy Security and Sustainable Development of Local Communities in Ukraine”, with the support of the Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine held an online seminar on Promoting Energy Security and Sustainable Local Development communities in the Dnipropetrovsk region”.
In total, more than 500 participants joined the seminar through the online platform and live online viewing, including representatives of regional and local administrations of the Dnipro region, utilities, private companies, NGOs, research institutions, and universities.

The seminar was organized as part of the project “Promoting energy security and sustainable development of local communities in Ukraine”. The goal of the project is to help reduce the dependence of 8 regions of Ukraine on fossil fuels by informing about the possibilities of introducing efficient technologies of affordable renewable energy sources (RES). The project includes a series of workshops on the development of energy independence of local communities based on the Handbook prepared within the framework of the project.
