NGO “Renewable Energy Agency” (REA) on July 16, 2015 in Kiev  held a seminar on “Preparation of feasibility studies of investment projects using biomass for heat production in Ukraine”.

The purpose of the workshop was to present the manual “Preparation and Implementation of projects on natural gas substitution with biomass in heat energy production in Ukraine”. Another objective of the seminar was to raise awareness of participants on issues of raw materials research and logistics of biomass supply to energy facility. A separate part of the workshop was devoted to the development of feasibility studies of investment projects on heat energy production from biomass and practical tasks on calculation of the basic technical and economic indicators for implementation of bioenergy projects.

The seminar was attended by representatives of municipalities and heat-generating companies of the following partners cities of the project USAID-MER: Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Lutsk, Pavlograd, Kramatorsk, Vinnitsa, Kherson, Kyiv and Ternopil.
